Flamengo's Militão was a Brazilian football player who had an incredible impact on the club's success throughout his career. He played for Flamengo from 1988 to 2004, and during that time, he helped the team win two Copa Libertadores titles.

Militão began his professional career with Palmeiras in 1986, where he made his debut in 1987. He quickly established himself as one of the best defenders in Brazil, and in 1991, he moved to Flamengo, where he would spend the next decade of his career.

During his time at Flamengo, Militão helped the team win three Campeonato Brasileiro titles, two Copa Libertadores titles, and two Supercopas do Brasil. He also scored 55 goals in 215 games for the club.

One of Militão's most memorable moments came during the 2001 Copa Libertadores final against Boca Juniors. The match ended in a 1-1 draw after extra time, but Militão scored the winning goal in the penalty shootout to help Flamengo claim their first Libertadores title.

Despite retiring from professional football in 2004, Militão remains one of the greatest defenders in the history of Brazilian football. He is widely regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders of all time, and his legacy will continue to be felt by future generations of Flamengo fans.
